1. What was your favorite subject in school? Endangered Species Management.

2. your top three favorite Beers made in C.O. 1) 20" Brown, 2) Mirror Pond Pale Ale, 3) Black Butte Porter

3. Your most memorable experience while out on a Wanderlust Tour. Taking a WW2 vet through Skeleton Cave on the anniversary of D Day. He had some amazing stories to tell about the war and the progression of his life after the war ended.

4. What book are your reading right now?

Cascade Olympic Natural History

5. Nugget of cultural history about Bend that always amazes you?

The prolific amount of loggers who lived and worked in/around Bend during the early 1900s.

6. Most heavily relied upon piece of gear that you own.? Chaco sandals.

7. Wanderlust Tours just received honorable mention as Central Oregon's Best Green Business-What do you do to back up your green ethic?

Bike to as many places as possible. Grow my own food. Buy locally. Recycle or compost everything I can. I am also building an energy-efficient home.

8. Do you volunteer your time anywhere?

Yes, I volunteer for the the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council, Central Oregon Environmental Center, Deschutes Land Trust, Oregon Natural Desert Association, and US Forest Service.

9. What advice would you have for someone visiting Bend for the first time?

Hike around or paddle on Sparks Lake, it is one of the many gems of the Cascades!

10. Favorite sound to hear in nature?
The trill of a Mountain Chickadee (Poecile gambeli)
