Sparks Lake: Full Moon Reflections

The sights, sounds, smells, tastes and feeling of Sparks Lake on a night illuminated by a full moon leave one with a sense of wonderment and amazement. Our lives seem complex and complicated, but all it takes is an awe-inspiring night on Sparks Lake to remind us that life is simple, slow and beautiful. A full moon bathing with distant stars in the background reminds us how small we really are. We are just a speck in the vastness of the universe. The craziness of our daily lives comes to a screeching halt when we fully realize that life can be reduced to the absolute basics: nourishing food, life-giving water, love and support from others, warm shelter and paddling across Sparks Lake under a full moon.
